There are many women who inspire us at MM. One that some may not immediately call to mind is Barbara Sinatra. Her life was recently highlighted this winter at Sotheby’s during the auction of her enviable collection of antiques, furniture and jewelry, which she amassed during her marriage to Frank Sinatra.

“Lady Blue Eyes” was a formidable beauty who was introduced to Frank by her first husband, a Marx brother. She was known for her generosity, kindness, philanthropy, and the happy life she built. The auction showcased her incredible taste, including such MM favorites as her collection of lettuce ware, Baccarat Harmonie tumblers (we share an affinity) and enviable jewels. We also take inspiration from the many photographs of the couple, Barbara always in fearless clothing, jewelry and high-as-heaven hair.
